Some friends and I were watching the part III series last night of the NBC Predator by Dateline where a sting is set up for catching Men going to a home to have Sex with underage children and had an interesting comment from a friend in the room.
First,I consider the guys who troll online to find children to be absolutely disgusting and feel they should be put away!!!!-casterated, etc,
Now back to my comments:
In a room with with several people, this one lady said "Do they not handle stings for online escorts (she did not say escorts..)" and that "Isn't that just as bad?". I had not thought that this woman was that much of prude because I know some of her background, LOL. A few others said "yes, but not as bad". I just said well, "You know, There is a huge difference, Two consenting adults particiapte in the escort business and really when you look at it in terms of a business with both parties understanding what is going on, is there really anything wrong with it" and "according to this show the police need to spend more time on the idoits who trick and lure children".
Well, it was amazing the looks I received from a couple of the ladies, including the original lady. One said "I guess we know what you might have been up to lately". I grinned and "you never know" and we all laughed. Also, the guys in the room and one of the other ladies agreed with me.
I guess my comment and thought went back to the lady friend's original comment about comparing the two activities. The world must be full of folks who think that and put out of their mind the thing they might do.
Still interesting and makes me laugh when I think of some of the personal activities that I am aware of that she had been involved in, LOL.
