Earlier in the year there were some posting concerning successful boards. It does seem to me that many of the Message boards over the past year or so have gone very quiet with the only exception being fights.

There was even a "Guys" private board that lasted about two months before it was brought down. It had significant activity and then the crazy folks took over and later it was brought down.

I guess everything has been discussed or maybe the boards have gone through a cycle. I for one don't post at all on the major boards unless it's a birthday wish or something like that.

I have enjoyed some of the funny things that have been posted here but I know that's not the purpose of the board. I just did mine to try to get some activity. I truly like the way this message forum is laid out and wish we had more activity.

Don't know the answers but just thought I would bring it up again. :)

It takes time....

This board is a no drama board, that's why it seems slow...

There is a lot of traffic to the site.

Just lurkers :)

I am a " browser " of boards more than a " poster." Generally if a question comes up and I may have an answer, it has already been stated...if not I may post. I used to concern myself with being a "member of good standing" by posting on everything...not any more. Most of it contributed to "drama" and I choose not to partake.

About the only thing I do is venture into chat for a while, and only short times there.

Meg's right, it does take a while to build the boards up. Without the drama it isn't interesting to most. I like the laid back atmosphere myself...:grouphug:

Each Message board has it's own reason for existing and I too like the "Laid Back" Non - Drama like this one. You are right in that many look for drama or either more graphic type discussions. Happy that is not here.

Having a board that allows promotion areas for the ladies is nice if one is looking for touring ladies to the area. I am sure many lurkers really like that and if successful that drives more and more traffic. Growth in volume of hits is always great and hopefully over time the visits will also generate more discussion etc.

Again, I like the SouthernGFE forum board but I do catch myself going straight to the forum rather than seeing the other information on the site. I guess everyone develops their own habits in checking boards.
