There has been a lot of talk lately of the so called "Sweetwalker" group of ladies and their Pimps moving more and more into the Cyberworld. The ease of getting cheap websites also contributes to this.
I feel this is and will bring more attention from LE and also bring more danger to the original groups of ladies and guys in the Internet Escort Activity. Yes, I know that Prosititution is looked at the same from the general public whether on the streets or on the Internet but it seems to be a disturbing movement.

You're a businessman on a trip and you get a little bored so you look to the Internet for some companionship. Although it is illegal it is much safer then picking a prostitute off the street. Well those days are over as the Pimps, or entrepreneur, as they would prefer to be addressed have taken their working girls, or as they call them employees, off the streets and into Cyberspace. Due to drugs, robberies and other dangerous activities local Police Departments in larger cities have focused a lot more man power on getting the prostitutes off the streets and detouring the gentlemen from picking up the working girls by replacing them with female police officers.
You can find anything you want on web sites such as The Red Board, The Other Board and Eros where escorts referred to as Providers advertise their services and they will see you with proper screening and/or references. This means that they want to speak with another escort whom has seen you. Review sites such as The Erotic Review and ASPD that rate the escorts in regards to looks, hygiene and performance also aid in helping the lonely traveler in making his selection with who is legit and who is not. But again those days are changing as the Pimps and streetwalkers take over the sites with advertising and dishonest reviews.
In a conversation with a escort who wants to remain anonymes I have found out that the once almost perfect system has been destroyed by the streetwalkers coming in off the street. Not only are the gentlemen getting ripped off but the escorts themselves are becoming victim to robberies and assaults. She was recently robbed by a man with references. It seems these entrepreneur's use their employees as references to set up appointments with other escorts. The references check out and the appointment is set but it is a robbery. "I am not sure I'll ever get over it" she said as she wiped tears from her eyes. "I have children to support or I wouldn't be in this line of work but it's been so hard to make ends meet." She has been working as an Escort for about 5 years and until about a year ago the reference checking system seemed to be a safe way to do things. "I am not the first, I know of several other ladies that have been victimized as I have. I was just hoping it would not happen to me. I guess I wasn't so lucky."
Gentlemen are becoming victims as well, not that they have not always had risks rather it be the Internet or the street but lately things have gotten much worse.
