Deputies with the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office and agents with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement raided a home at 700 N. English St. on May 7.

According to a search warrant released Tuesday, the case began when an immigrations officer received information from a person that she was being forced to work as a prostitute at the home for more than 10 weeks.

An undercover officer, wearing an audio device, entered the home to gather evidence, the warrant says.

For fun one day I looked into what it would take to immigrate to Europe and elsewhere. I don't mean visiting or working there - that's a "visa" issue - I mean LIVE there as a citizen.

I checked out Iceland, most of the EU and a few other places....

DUDE! This place is a friggin' revolving door compared to those places.

You have to be an independently wealthy, upstanding citizen of your former country. Plus, it takes decades.

THEY don't take just anyone. Google the question: "I want to move to (blank) and become a citizen..." and see what you have to do.

In Europe you're REGULARLY asked for your passport if you don't speak the local language. OR - ANYTIME you do ANYTHING. Check into a hotel, get on a train, etc.

Try emigrating to France. England. Germany. Hell, even Spain.

Next, try Asia.

Try moving to China. Japan. South Korea.

Now try friggin' ANYWHERE they have a government.

Poland? Fiji? Samoa? El Salvador? Hoops upon hoops.

Now..................... try just waltzing in without a passport.............

THEN try staying there for a decade or two.

THEN try working there and having children....

Jail and deportation await.

Going back to Rome and beyond, all sovereign governments have strictly defined what it means to be a citizen and resident. Foreign visitors are always controlled.


LASTLY............. I want to make ONE simple argument (if anyone is still reading this).

Flood this country with illegal doctors, lawyers, MBA's, Accountants, Research Scientists, etc and see how fast the borders close.

What's friggin' weird is the left supporting both LABOR and ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS!

Illegal immigration has done more harm to the labor movement than anything else.

MILLIONS of SCABS crossing the border.

It is NOT that "Americans won't take those jobs...." they won't take those jobs at those wages.

Every time I hear that argument I think of dozens of friends, family members and people I've known that work the most friggin' grueling jobs imaginable.

The only reason they still have those jobs is that it requires a modicum of English to do. If they too could be replaced by cheaper non-English speaking labor they would be - and they'd join the list of Americans "too lazy" to do their old job.

Just ask.......................... WHO did those jobs before the illegals took them? WHY did they stop doing them?

Farming? I have dozens of farmers in my family. They ALL busted their asses busting up the earth. They're all out of the farm biz.

AMERICANS did NOT just decide one day that these lost jobs are beneath them.

It is a LIE. Plain and simple.

We used to do them. We still would. You simply cannot take a job when there are millions of applicants that will work for virtually free. We didn't get too lazy. We were scabbed right out of our jobs.

If white collar jobs could be filled with illegals and the govt. turned a blind eye would we be saying "American businessmen are too lazy to launch an IPO..."

Think about it and the next time you hear the argument that Americans won't take those jobs and "we MUST keep illegals" - please be kind to your fellow Americans and defend them as hard working people that have been scammed out of their jobs by SCABS and the willing coalition of SCAB LOVERS!

I understand what you are saying Miss. Spinner and i agree with you on pretty much all of what you have said. I think we should be more strict on allowing people in our country i believe the word used to be called naturalization but we have skipped a lot of that in the last few years and have granted millions upon millions of visa's to allow them in. I just hate the fact that for every person they let in they are displacing someone out of a job. And i could go on a rant about how farming has just about gone the way of the dinosaur but that can be for a different day. I am sorry to hear about what the little girl had to go thru, it reminded me of stories of Thailand and what all goes on there, so sad to hear.

BTW - "Naturalization" is definitely the way it should be. Sure, come here - be a part of the country. JOIN the club. Learn the language. America awaits. We have plenty of room, resources and opportunity for hundreds of millions.

But a stealth population of tens of millions that don't work with or support the system? NO. Every nation that has allowed such a thing has collapsed as an unrecognizable behemoth.

Lastly ......... I don't blame a single person living in poverty that decides to exploit a border that stands between them and a relative fortune. I would likely do the same thing. Hate the game, not the players.
